Deepika Padukone dethrones Priyanka Chopra as ‘sexiest Asian woman’

Actor Deepika Padukone has beaten Priyanka Chopra to become the Sexiest Asian Woman of 2016.

Deepika won the title for the first time in the popular list that is annually published by Britain-based Eastern Eye newspaper.

“It does bring a smile to my face, but sexy means different things to different people. For me, it’s not just physical. Being comfortable with who you are, is sexy. Confidence is sexy. Innocence and vulnerability is sexy,” the actor, who is set to make her Hollywood debut with xXx: Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel, said in a statement.

The said issue will cover the 'Benaras story' starring the Bollywood diva and ace fashion designer Sabyasachi.

On the professional front, the 30-year old actress will next be seen in 'XXX: The Return of Xander Cage' opposite Vin Diesel, which is set to release early next year.

Deepika Padukone decided to skip Shah Rukh Khan's birthday bash in Alibaug for beau Ranveer Singh.

Shah Rukh Khan‘s party in Alibaug has been the talk of the town since days. While his oldest friends like Karan Johar, Sanjay & Mahdeep Kapoor, Chunkey Pandey and Kajal Anand were there, new entrants like Ranbir Kapoor, Imtiaz Ali and Ayan Mukerji also made it to the list But Deepika, who has begun shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, skipped SRK's birthday bash in order to spend some quality time with beau Ranveer Singh. There have been rumours that their relationship is going through a rough patch. But it seems the lovebirds are doing everything possible to make things work.

According to a report in Stardust, Deepika who had an off from the shooting schedule wanted to spend time with Ranveer and hence decided to skip SRK's bash.

The report further suggests that the two were inseparable. Reportedly, Deepika and Ranveer were spotted at a car showroom near Deepika's house, deciding on which car to buy. Their chemistry was very obvious and they also didn't shy away from indulging in some PDA.

It seems all in well in their paradise, finally.

On the work front, Deepika and Ranveer will yet again be seen in a period drama. Padmavati, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, also stars Shahid Kapoor. The film is set to hit the screens some time next year.

The makers have now unveiled new posters for every cast member of the film. The xXx 3 cast members all have their personal trailers too but we are truly in love with Deepika and her action avatar.

The posters introduce us to each of the characters and teased us with their strengths which will be showcased in this much-awaited film. Deepika’s poster shows her brandishing a gun on two separate occasions. She is set to play Serena Unger.

Deepika is again seen doing some breathtaking stunts, points knives and firearms at Vin Diesel himself but you know what is even more dangerous when she trades one-liners with him. It is all there in this new trailer too and we can make out that Deepika is part of Vin’s team which has been brought together to save the world.

The makers have also served us with a surprise that international football star Neymar Jr is a part of the film, though probably only in a cameo appearance.
